As soon as I entered the campus, I felt restless and agitated, and other colleagues felt the same way. I asked the teacher and they said it was to make the children more active, but in fact, the school ignored the harm of noise pollution caused by excessive noise. Some schools do not have awareness of the harm of noise pollution in the selection of bell tones for class and the volume of eye exercises played, and the small speakers in the classroom become high pitched speakers with harsh sound intensity. Long term exposure of students to such noisy environments is detrimental to their health.

Noise monitoring substation
The noise monitoring substation is the outdoor sampling part of the environmental noise automatic monitoring system, which is generally divided into two types: fixed and mobile. The noise monitoring substation includes all-weather outdoor microphones, noise acquisition and analysis units, communication units, power control units, and supporting safety protection units such as chassis.
(1) All-weather outdoor microphone
Outdoor microphones are designed to withstand wind, rain, dust, and interference for long-term continuous outdoor use. The wind cover of outdoor microphones can interfere with the accuracy of noise testing. The outdoor sensor used in our company´s environmental noise online monitoring system has obtained the Chinese Type Approval Certificate (CPA) for measuring instruments. This outdoor sensor can ensure wind, rain, and dust resistance while still ensuring that the frequency response of the microphone meets the frequency response requirements for Class 1 sensors in GB/T3785-2010.
(2) Noise collection and analysis unit
The noise acquisition and analysis unit has signal acquisition and data analysis functions, while ensuring data storage. The noise acquisition and analysis unit of the online monitoring system for environmental noise is not simply a sound level meter placed inside for signal acquisition, but uses an industrial grade industrial computer to develop signal acquisition software suitable for automatic noise monitoring systems
(3) Communication unit
Implement data communication from the noise substation to the noise monitoring system software server. The online monitoring system for environmental noise adopts 4G wireless communication, which can meet the basic data transmission of the system and ensure stable transmission.
(4) Power control unit
Provide power supply to prevent the impact of external power supply jitter on measurement accuracy and protect the noise monitoring substation from external surge attacks.
(5) GPS positioning module
The GPS positioning module configured by our company is a high-performance BDS/GNSS full constellation positioning and navigation module. It uses a low-power GNSS SOC chip with completely independent intellectual property rights - AT6558, which supports multiple satellite navigation systems and has advantages such as high flexibility, low power consumption, and low cost. It can locate the device´s position in real time.
(6) 4G wireless communication module
Adopting LTE 3GPP Rel.11 technology, supporting a maximum downlink rate of 150Mbps and a maximum uplink rate of 50Mbps; At the same time, it is compatible with the Mobile Remote Communication UMTS/HPSA+UC20 module and the Mobile Remote Communication Multi Network Standard LTE Cat 3 module in terms of packaging, achieving seamless switching between 3G and 4G networks. Ensure stable and fast upload of device data.
(7) Chassis
The environmental noise in the online monitoring system adopts an all-weather protective box that meets the IP55 standard. It is used to place noise collection and analysis units, data acquisition boards, power control units, etc., which play a role in wind, rain, and theft prevention.
(8) Ball camera and microphone
Real time monitoring of the on-site environment can be achieved, and if the data exceeds the standard, on-site environment recording and noise pickup can be realized. Through the platform playback function, the actual situation on site can be viewed.
(9) Sound column
This configuration can achieve remote calling function. Management personnel can view the situation on site through remote cameras. If serious noise pollution behavior is found, remote calling can be carried out through the APP. After hearing the instructions, on-site personnel can make corrections. At the same time, they can communicate with the back-end management personnel through the on-site equipment microphone.
(10) Acoustic probe
The acoustic probe adopts advanced sound imaging algorithms, collects sound signals simultaneously through dozens of high-precision microphones, processes them in real-time on the built-in chip, generates sound cloud maps, visualizes sound, and locates noise pollution points. The latest upgrade covers an area that enables ultra wide range capture.
